Wheaton College’s Solar Panel and Energy Storage Project began operation in Fall 2025. The implemented panels consist of 4 arrays of bifacial solar panels in the Billy Graham Hall parking lot and additional rooftop panels on Armerding Center and Chrouser Sports Complex.
Based on the panel orientation and placement, Senior Design Team Ctrl+Alt+Design hypothesized that the efficiency of the panel array could be increased with reflectors placed inside the structural purlins that run the length of each array.

This project aims to increase the overall output of the Billy Graham Hall solar array with negligible interference in normal parking lot use and low installation costs.
